In most cases protein supplements do not have any negative effect on the body and can be taken safely everyday. However if you are using a very powerful form of protein than it might be advisable to consult a dietician or a doctor to make sure that you dont put undue stress on your kidneys.

In many disease proteins play an important part in recovery, for example they are an important part of the crohns nutrition that is designed to prevent damage from Chrons disease.
