Turn a Tired Anniversary Tradition Into an Exciting Adventure

Author: Kyle Dusang

Tired of lame, monotonous, and predictable anniversary traditions? Wanna really "wow" her this year and re-kindle the roaring flame of romance that once blazed brightly in your relationship but now seems more like the faint flicker of a tiny candle? Discover how to add a creative twist to the time-honored yet tired tradition of giving roses as an anniversary gift.

While it's true that all women enjoy getting flowers, giving the same gift year after year might be considered uninspired and even thoughtless. This year, try something new. Give her roses but give them in a unique and creative manner, making the gesture much more meaningful, exciting, and romantic.

Instead of just buying a dozen roses and a card then handing them over to her with a kiss and a "happy anniversary", add some excitement and adventure by sending her on a "treasure hunt" to find each one. Purchase a dozen roses along with twelve little cards like the ones used for tags on gifts. (I found some at my local Hallmark store that were shaped like hearts and had the little strings on them so that they could be attached to gifts.)

Come home early from work before she gets there or wake up early before her, and hide eleven of the twelve roses in different places around the house along with little cards on which you've written silly little rhymes clueing her in as to where to find the next one. For example,

"You'll always be my best friend,
And I'll always be your fool.
You'll find another flower,
in the place I keep my tools."
So in that case, one of the roses will be hidden in the tool shed or tool drawer.

You'll give her the first one, of course, to get her started on her quest, but she'll have to work for the rest, all the while thinking how wonderful and exciting it is to be married to someone so thoughtful and creative.

Sure, this endeavor will require lots of thought and planning, but she's worth the extra effort and it's sure to make her smile and fuel the fire of romance in your relationship to a raging inferno.
